Earth observation plays a crucial role in civil protection by providing valuable data on changes. Satellite imagery and aerial imagery enable actors of all types and at all levels to detect large-scale damaging events such as forest fires and floods and plan appropriate emergency response and evacuation measures. This presentation describes how Copernicus Emergency Management Service can support.
