Our infrastructure is aging. The road networks as well as our electricity and water networks are often 30-40 years or older. Europe needs to commit to large investments to protect and upgrade our infrastructure. Roads needs upgrades. Demand and generation in the electricity sector is changing and the energy transition is in danger due to incapable networks. To plan proper maintenance and upgrades a full understanding of the above and below ground state of the infrastrucate is essential to prevent costly damages or service interuption.  In this presentation we are exploring the combination of above ground, Mobile Mapping, and below ground, Ground Penetrating Radar, technologies. Data is captured using both sensors on one vehicle. The combination of both will provide a more complete insight in the infrastructure. We will look at a test project that was done to highlight the benefits of the combined sensors.
