Mobile laser scanning using SLAM is increasingly transforming the industry. Renowned for its speed and efficiency, it prompts the question whether static scanning is now obsolete—or if there are underlying limitations. This presentation aims to critically examine both approaches and propose a solution that integrates the advantages of both worlds.
