Laser scanning has seen continuous advancement over the past decades – not only due to technical innovation, but also through the broadening of its application areas. As scanning becomes increasingly relevant across sectors such as construction, infrastructure, plant documentation, forensics and cultural heritage, the complexity of user requirements has grown as well. New opportunities are often accompanied by new challenges in terms of data quality, efficiency, and workflow integration.
