To enable consistent communication by the surveying sector about its products and services within the BIM process, the DVW Working Group 3 defined four central "BIM discipline models for surveying": the Geodetic Spatial Reference Model, the As‑Built Survey Model, the Stakeout Model and the Construction Documentation Model. For each model, purpose, contents and interfaces to other disciplines are described.
