Andreas is a professional pilot, IT engineer and aviation manager. In former roles as Senior Director, he led teams tasked with the digitalization of the Lufthansa Group flight ops, e. g. introducing air-/ground data links and cockpit mounted laptops at the group’s 10 airlines.
In 2021 Andreas co-founded UAS365, a company offering UAS training and consulting services for professional drone users. In this new role, he focuses on advanced drone training to make challenging drone missions safer.
Andreas holds many crewed and all remote pilot licenses from FAA and EASA, allowing him to compare the pros and cons of these two major aviation jurisdictions. He is an active instructor in crewed and uncrewed aviation.
Andreas is a member of JARUS SRM, Vereinigung Cockpit’s UAS+ working group and he chairs the UAV DACH qualification & training competence group, developing the "Industry Trusted Remote Pilot" training.
Andreas lives in a sparsely populated area in Germany’s Eifel region.
